A close up view of the Dents du Midi on a perfectly clear day in January 2006. Photographed early in the season, this image captures dramatic shadows over the entire range, bringing out greater topographic details than at any other time in the winter season.

If you look closely to the south-east of the Dents du Midi, you can clearly make-out the resort of Champéry and the Croix de Culet. You can also see the Moon in the top left corner.
